Burlington Centre initially began as a farmers market in 1958 but developed a mall on the same land a decade later.
The 721,000 square foot shopping centre has been split into two floors. The first floor provides customers the retail experience while the second floor has a slew of professional and medical offices.
Burlington is a small city nestled between Hamilton and Oakville but has come to attention in previous years from individuals looking to reside outside the GTA core. Burlington has blossomed in previous years with an annual growth rate of 7.5%. The mall has attracted visitors from across the GTA who are looking for the peacefulness found within the suburbs while providing a shopping centre experience to fulfill their needs.

IN THE NEWS
LAUFT Offers a New Twist for On-Demand, Flexible Workspace.
Graham Wong ran an advertising agency before moving into consulting and often had time between client meetings, but no place to work. That led to him founding LAUFT and opening its first location at Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket, Ont. in December 2018.
“The one thing that was missing was an on-demand, flexible work experience,” LAUFT’s chief executive officer told RENX. “We all do the best we can, whether we’re in an airport, a hotel lobby or a coffee shop. We’re trying to get a good work experience to be the stop-gap between our office or our home office.”
Toronto Just Got A New Workspace That Lets You Rent Desks For $5 An Hour
Life just got a bit better for Toronto's self-employed and remote workers. An innovative new startup, called LAUFT, has officially launched their first coworking space just north of the city at Upper Canada Mall. What makes this coworking space stand apart from the rest is their booking process, which can be summed up in two words - instant and affordable.
For $5 or less - and in five minutes or less - you can secure a Smart Desk at LAUFT's sleek and modern office space, complete with high-speed WiFi, a universal power supply and a passcode locker.
On a Pandemic Cleaning and Organizing Frenzy?
Shawn Shanmuganathan, co-founder of Vaultra, admits that few people dream of becoming a self-storage mogul.
But that hasn’t deterred his ambition for Vaultra to dominate the Toronto area’s self-storage market. Just as the pandemic is cementing storage demand from businesses and consumers, the company has launched the first of a dozen planned regional facilities, on Fairbank Ave. in the Yorkdale Shopping Centre area.
